Hi
I've read this service Manual . But I never
I had no such problem. The sensor is sensitive because I knew I did not open it.
I do not know about the sensor reset method(page17)...
You can try and see what happens ...
I think if you do not get Any movement of the motor ...by trial and error(sensor position volume).
Another problem may exist.
thanks

CHA1214 also has chip 501 with pin, init switch, this is interupted and put to gnd. Page 30 you find circuit draiwing with chip 501 https://www.scribd.com/doc/250200725/ALpine-cha-1214
CHA634 (this one we have), also have pin init switch on chip 501 (but other type ic),but not sure if I can do the same over here. Page13 you find circuit drawing with chip 501 https://www.scribd.com/doc/248791861/ALpine-CHA-S634-Service...#force_seo

I have asked alpine for help, with the question if its the same with cha634
Another question, l also own a cha1214, do you think chip 501, pin 6 TX, is also digital out and useble for optical out? MN66271 Datasheet(PDF) - Panasonic Semiconductor

no RX and TX is serial data system control (mechanism and program control )
Back to the chas634, there is no reset for this one, so something is wrong.
I have been measuring, ic104, saw some differences:
pin 6 0 volt
pin 8 0 volt
pin 12 0,3 volt
pin 22 0,23 volt
But this is measured with no cd turning, so I wonder if this is good? What do you think ? What else can I try to check better?

looked agai at the chas1214 and the chas634 and here they use pin tx for toslink out. So i have measured pin 6 but it was 0 volts. Does it need to be activated or something like that?
Also bussy with the 634 but its a hard nut to crack

Hi, i resume the thread! Did you managed to get the optical out (or coaxial at least) from an ainet cd changer? I have a cha 1204 and looking to datasheet it seems easy to do, but maybe it isn't...
I'd certainly like to know that as well. 🙂Hi, i resume the thread! Did you managed to get the optical out (or coaxial at least) from an ainet cd changer? I have a cha 1204 and looking to datasheet it seems easy to do, but maybe it isn't...
