"Updaing" an integrated amplifier

Stay with the original cap values, as it is the actual value will be more for the good ones, it sometimes happens that the 2200 uF are actually 1500 uF.
That means the poor quality ones are wrongly marked, and I do not expect 30+ year old capacitors to be within tolerance.
And a 30 year old capacitor will be end of life anyway.

So do the change, and keep the option of adding more later if needed, maybe an extra bank, after hearing the renewed unit.

Do you have a schematic? If not, looks like it should be simple enough to sketch one up. Once you know the circuit then it becomes more clear what sort of changes might make it better, and what might make it worse. Sometimes people throw caps at good amplifiers and actually make the sound worse.

Hi again,

Unfortunately I cannot find any in stock suitable size (30mmX50mm) 10,000uF 63V or more capacitors in the big electronics parts suppliers in Europe (Digikey and Mouser), do you know any other reliable suppliers in Europe for electronics components ?
Thanks
