I really need the UPC1237 DIP. I have visited several websites and still have not located this. Anyone happen to know where to find these? Was this part replaced with another part number? Thx.
Yes. Rotel 1570. I only can find NEC UPC1237C DIP. Not sure if it's compatible. Can use some help. Thx.
Ebay if you trust the sellers
Unfortunately I can't find anything on Ebay. I wont buy a China parts.
Datasheets only mention SIP. Why DIP? Are you trying to replace a damaged component?
There is also a NEC version which is compatible, but not sure there exists a DIP. I have used both in the past but never seen a DIP version. Where did you see that?

There was another thread on the same subject a couple of months ago. I don't think anyone managed to find a source of DIP, only SIP, although I seem to remember a data sheet that said DIP or SIP versions.
Have you checked the amp schematic versus SIP data sheet? If it is just a package change, chances are it might be ok.
Edit: this one upc1237C-A?!!

The only 1 that will fit is DIP 8, 4 legs on each side. Rotel some how doesn't have the part. The link you supplied is the UPC1237C DIP, would this work in place of the UPC1237 DIP? The part is only $1.80 with a $25 minimum.
There's a C1237C data sheet from Renesas linked in the other thread. It's in japanese, but even if you're not able to read that you should be able to compare the key specs very quickly. If you find anything, a quick google translate can probably help zoom in on whether its important or not.
Still looking. Found in Japan for a $100 shipped. Anyone know a alternative part # in dip configuration? I don't know why Rotel used a dip.
No, use the adapter, make it easy and cheap for yourself.
The person repairing my amp tryed to use the adapter, but the sip chip is too long, not enough room..
Unfortunately I'm not a repair guy. The guy has been doing this for over 30 years. I'm guessing it's a very tight position where the UPC 1237 fits, so I assume only a dual in-line will work. I found UPC 1237 c-a, so I'm assuming this will work?
