Hello Guys,
I have a common problem: part without datasheet. I googled a lot today but found nothing helpful.
refer to this thread for a similar but 4 digits LED segment display :
I have a similar LED segment display like in the thread even the same Code on the part!, but only two digits but the same part number on it.
I already used LED segement displays, but I don't know how to wire this one up!?
Written on the part:
HY-214 94VO
NSM4308 43 1008 A
Images of the part:

Back side
Do you have a clue how to find a datasheet or even how to wire it up?
Thanks,
lloudspeaker

Its not a normal seven segment display. That black blob of epoxy conceals a thick film decoder driver IC. The device needs a 5 volt supply and the appropriate I2C data bus connections to get it to work.
It looks like a Philips part tbh and will be unique to a specific model/s

Do you still have this part?
Hi, I am looking for this exact display, part HY-214
Do you have one for sale or can you please tell me where to find one?
Thank you very much

VERY old part, originally made by National Semiconductor - the NS in NSM. Back during the early LED digital display craze they whipped out a bunch of different critters like this. The black blob is a chip-on-board IC, usually custom for a specific task.
NS used to be pretty good about providing old data sheets for things like this. That might have changed now that they're part of TI. Can't hurt to ask.

Hi,
If you have the schematic for the device you can check the signals that drive the display and maybe you can be able to wire it using any 7 digit display. It is possible that the black blog it is a bcd to seven segment decoder /drivers built into the display module.
