University S8 3 way

Powering them with a 300B quad PP amp.

fantastic ! I've never heard the real thing but have a 0.7 scale version loaded with a 10". Are you going to re-cap the crossovers ?

Not right away. The speakers sound great. Everything is in pretty good shape.
The Mid and tweeter pots could stand a good cleaning.

even my 7/10 size "baby" copy is powerful down to 100 and goes up to ~1K - how does the real thing
fare on jazz trios? - vocals? - drums ?

Well anything I say may seem anecdotal at this point.
I'm very Very VERY happy with them !!!
They are very rich and mellow in the mids, and a rich punchy bass.
I'm powering them with a 40 watt monoblock PP 300B amp.

How efficient do you estimate? Really, it goes down to 30hz?
