I am looking into buying a MiniDSP 2x4 and am wondering if the UMIK-1 is a worthy investment or if I should be looking at other mics? How well does the mic measure vs say the Dayton or another similar priced model? Is there much value in spending say $25 more on a different mic? I know this is a MiniDSP subforum, and could be a bit biased, but would like to know the pro's and con's of choosing one over the other - especially those of you who are converts.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
sure
umik comes with individual calibration file you upload, its relatively cheap, performs well, and you order it the same time as minidsp, all in one order
why complicate it when you do not have to
