I know exacly what you mean. There are alot of superior quality amps out there. I too have never seen on that truely has it all.. looks, sound, the works. I usually settle for ugly as long as it works..Even Zapco back in the day had excellent quality but they wheren't all much to look at for some..Personally I can do with out all the fancy lights and bull..I too want a amp that is bullet proof, looks like the finest model you have ever seen and so clear that you can hear an ant fart..
The only problem is a mail order bride would probably be cheaper..

The Audison Thesis is a nice amp but not in the league I'm thinking about and buying multiples of it doesn't get it there.
What you really want? Something like a Soundstream Da Vinci? That was a really beautiful amp, but only average sounds.
Of course, if nothing around there is good enough you can order someone to make you a custom triode amplifier and a very nice jewel case for it. Then you could use silver rods instead of cables, just to spend a few more bucks. The "exclusive" felling could be achieved by making custom plasma speakers. They can play full range, no distortions at all and glow beautifully with the music. Can't think of anything more unique than that. Of course you would lose a little on the safety side by using plasma inside a car, but common, no one would EVER make anything like that! Talk about exclusiveness!

Having met David Berning and listened to some of his amps, I would recommend Milbert as a high end amp for front stage, with something like Zapco for bass duty.
The Desiderio is the only amp, other than HSS or Milbert, that I can think of in your "class".
Sad that you'll cross off some amazing companies because they offer a "lower" class item. TRU makes some very high end designs, as does quite a few other manufactures.

Most Musical Tube Amplifiers by Milbert Amplifiers They only made one amp. doesn't cost that much but you will need 3-4 for your system. you need a good headunit with all the processing power to tune your system nicely. ODR or F1 is your only possible option for H/U.
Coming from hi-end home, I would expect you to be able to set it up all by yourself as not many car audio shop know SQ.

Precision power ART amps, 2350dm, 2500F1 are all solid looking and performing amps. I think there have been a few new stock arts for sale lately. If money were no option I'd run as many 2350dm or pc2350's as I could cram in the car without making it entirely useless
I am a fan of DLS, Brax, Arc audio and Alpine but they are not as exclusive as you would like.
you should just make a list of the most expensive components and then listen to them and remove any that are deficient. I suspect though, that this DIY board is probably not the best place to find the most expensive options, more likely the best sound for the money - and you might just be able to build it yourself.

What is the point for exclusivity if you can't make it sound good? In my opinion, SQ come 50% from installation 30% tuning and the last 20% from the quality of equipment. Whats the point of asking grandma to race a ferrari in a race track? you know that grandma in Ferrari can't be faster than The Stig in Evo10.

i still think that machining a heatsink and putting ontop of a "walmart" amp will meet and exceed all of your "needs" to impress
