Hi,

I think that uglyness is involved by design, not by technical functional issues, therefore the Be Yamamura horns deem acceptable, if not especially nice and cute to me. His smaller boxes for his fullrange drivers are quite nice, and his drivers are very special, too.
That is, sadly, all history.

I´d like to include examples for design decisions I don´t fully understand...

All the best

It's a power supply. Given the vent slots, it may bake bread. :yummy:

No doubt you'll notice the graphic "heatwaves" on the top...I didn't know actual waves of thermal radiation appear as wavy vertical lines? This is exactly what's wrong with these "art" attempts...no, heat doesn't "look" like that...maybe in cartoons.
What other phenomenon has a collectively "agreed upon" shape, color or texture?...which is far far from the actual appearance?
I'll start first...the deafening roar of spacecraft in the vacuum of space.

You could only hear a spacecraft in the vacuum of space if you were directly behind the craft in the cone of hot expansion exhaust gasses, or, if one was inside the pressurized craft in question. Sound needs a mass of gasses as a medium to transmit sound.

Those must have flat fr response, just like her chest...cute.

>Those will scare young children, I bet,

With no grills over the woofers, young children will scare the speaker - and considering the price tag, their owner too!

"No! Please! I know it infinitely tempting, but dont you touch my - eeeyyyaaahhh!"

"Now, how am I going to get this to pop back out..."
