I don't know if it applies to your units...
Bye,

My units.... I'd like to, but couldn't exactly afford them (how much they cost? 40 Grands? 60 Grands?).

That power supply mod for the opamp is really worth doing. It is an easy mod too if you have the Hypex HG power supply. I'd do that before doing anything else because its such a simple and worthwhile modification for the cost/effort.
Yes, I think you're right, actually my case is so full that no additional transformer could be fitted in (I'm not using the Hypex PSU).
Will remake the whole thing later in some new housings.

hi everybody,
sorry for my poor enghish.
i'm very interresting to build a power amp with hypex ucd400 moduls
to replace a couple of krell kma100, who has blow.
with these amp i want drive apogée diva (fullrange ribon 89db, less than 3ohms).
do you think it's a good idea ?
if alfetta87 can contact me with email it's very easier for me in french.

how can ucd180 opamp supply mod be applied without hg power supply? i am using basic hypex power supply. would standart walmart 12v ac adaptor work? if i connect it directly to opamp, maybe with a capacitor, for cleaner power.
No good that way! The internal PSU is already of good quality, replacing it with a standart PS will only harm the sound. Anyway, you'll need a symmetrical PSU, so you better buy a kit of high -end quality.

thanks for advice.
secondary supply on "hypex hg supply" seems to be pretty simple, looks like - and + voltage regulators, rectifier and couple of caps and resistors. any recommendations on voltage regulators?
does anyone know what hypex is using?
