Hi,
About to take the plunge building my active Xover hifi system, and just wondering if I'm better off using 4xUcD180s for my tweeters and mids and using 2xUcD400s for my woofers, or if I should use 6xUcD400s.
There's not much price difference seeing how in both cases I need 2 cases, 2 transformers.
The tweeters/mids are rated for around 90w/ch at 6ohms (Accutons) and the woofers (Audium 13WX) around 175w/ch at 6 ohms.
I'm not too concerned about exceeding the power level of the speakers (that's bloody loud), but in terms of the "sweet spot" for the amps... and the fact each amp is driving 1 speaker without a cross over.. what do you think is a good match ?
