Tympani 1d after rewire the tweeter keeps on blowing

Dear friends,

I'm having an issue with my rewired 1d tweeters. Upon being rewired with 0.15MM solderable ENAMELLED ALUMINIUM WIRE every now and then I need to redo the tweeter since it stops working. Somehow the wire breaks (cannot find it visually) and need to replace it. Strangely the 2,5 A fuse is still in one piece. strange they are being powered by a MC2125.

Any ideas?

You need a thicker wire.

Strange because the current thickness is similar to the original magnepan

My Apogee centaur minor uses a 35mf cap in its crossover...6db....it point is 800-1k..in it MT ribbon...........same ribbon can drop to 500....but it 1"wide...
Tympani 1D ...states 6dB/octave crossover point.. 1.1k..thats low!.....
lower than any other Tympani wire tweeter...
I would move the cap size down....like with a....25-30mf.....stock cap is 35mf..see how that sounds with the tweeter crossover move up......

Would it be possible to rewire the crossover to 8ohm?
