If that's what concerns you, aren't a wall and a waveguide really the same thing? This knowledge is where the money is.And not very expensive if you already DIY things like sheetrock and finishing trim.

I don't know. I know how to sheetrock a wall and do the finish trim but I don't know how to make a waveguide.
A step at a time.. Take a large sheet of something you can use as a baffle, and that has the size to act that way down to the upper bass. Through the entire midrange, it is in control. Push it up close to the room wall because there is no point in wasting space. There is a small volume behind it which is the rear enclosure.
