We were planning speakers to my friends home theater. There is about 75 cm between floor and screen. One option is to build Eminence Beta 12CX coaxials. Drivers would come little low. So I think we could build some two way in about same price class. HF driver could be positioned little upper. Separate horn would be good thing also. Many excuses, real reason: I would like to make that kind of speaker.

I would like to try:

Fane Sovereign 12-300 in 75liter vented box

Dayton H6512 waveguide
Dayton Audio H6512 6-1/2" x 12" Waveguide 1" Threaded

HF driver is little mystery. How about Eminence ASD:1001 or P-Audio BM-D26S

P-Audio Europe

What do you think? Better options? etc.

Did you ever build this? I’m Resurrecting this thread because I’m planning on something similar; I just completed a 50l Eminence Beta 12CX/ASD:1001 pair and really happy with the sound using the eminence crossover build for this combo. I need another pair of 50l 12” so I figure I try the Fane 12-300 and Eminence APT80 tweeter (I have the tweeter laying from another project that never finished). Thinking about crossing at 3,5kHz and build it in 18mm plywood aprox 40x60x30cm outer dimension. The reason why I look at the Fane driver is primarily due to the smooth roll off after 4kHz which should simplify my crossover compared to similar Eminence driver but I’m also considering P.Audio E12-300S. Bigger magnet but maybe not as deep bass.
