Two surround speakers per channel vs one in a 5.1 set up for a small room.

I'm building 5.1 HT speakers. I was wondering if two surround speakers for each surround channel will have better surround channels sound envelopment compared to one surround speaker per channel. Room size is 10 x 16 feet (3.05 x 4.87 meters).

No. Do not look how it is done at cinema theater (multiple surround loudspeakers along the walls, left and right) - cinema venues are huge. Average living room is much smaller, so one surround speaker per channel is more than enough.
