I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but here goes.
I am building a USB DAC, headphone amplifier system and I also want to be able to run an RCA line (interconnect) into my main system pre-amplifier to drive my pre-amp./power amp./'speakers.
What I plan to do is hard wire the line out from the USB DAC directly into the headphone amplifier (which is in the same case) and also run a second line out (from the USB DAC) to a pair of RCA jacks so that when I am not using the headphone set up I can plug an RCA interconnect cable into the USB DAC and run it to my main system pre-amp thusly avioding switching/wiring etc.
The USB DAC and headphone amp. use seperate power supplies so I can power off the headphone amp. when not in use.
Anyone see problems with this approach?
