I read around that Nelson is quite experienced user of TM1201 midrange.
I have a pair of refrigerators with two 1602 and a horn in between (pictured) . I don't like the design for many reasons. Eventually I'll fit a pair of Tannoy 10" instead but for now I'd like to have 100dB speaker not 93dB to experiment with small amps. So ,I thought I could dust off a pair of TM1201 midranges. There is one problem -space. I do not want to hack the cab which is very well built in Tannoy's fashion. The space available is 16" circle. 12" will be taken by TM 1201 and whats left 3-3.5" has to suit tweeter solution. Any non expensive recommendations? (the project will be a gap stop solution so I do not want to invest a lot , I alreday ruined myself on the project so what would work? I won't be affraid to try small cone tweeter if any 100db one is available.
Crossosver points 200-300 hz /3kz or little more.

Depending on the horn you have, did you consider using a compression driver instead and cross over between 300-500hz if the horn allows for it?
You may be able to get away with a dual concentric compression driver such as a BMS 2" one. Then you don't need the extra tweeter and run the speaker 2 way.
