Tweeter by size - smallest outer diameter

Hello,

I'm looking to find a small tweeter by outer diameter. My current smallest is the Vifa OX20, with a OD 33.4mm. But I need something than 30.4mm

Anyone used any super small tweeters for small spaces?

1/"2 dome is probably too small for me. I'm looking for something larger, up to 3/4". Soft dome hard dome. Beggars can't be choosers.

Please advise.

The Audax at least gives a spec for diaphragm area and xmax, from which you can guess the max SPL for any crossover. It seems to recommend 6kHz, but the resonance is at 3K so a 4th order acoustic Livkwitz-Riley (second-order electric) filter could be made at 3K or possibly 2.5k with an optimized passive assist. Not that crossing small domes low has ever worked for me , though ... :^D

FWIW. Here's a graph showing the max SPL for the SB14ST and TM010A7 tweeters posted above. The graph is based on Sd and Xmax peak (i.e. Xmax one-way). The SB14ST specs (LINK) are 2.2 cm2 and 0.15 mm while the TM010A7 (as posted above) has 3.1 cm2 and 0.25 mm. Most tweeters I've tested audibly distort way before reaching Xmax so I'd deduct 6 dB to be safe. YMMV!

Note: Excursion limited rms sound pressure level (SPL) for a driver in a closed box at 1 m distance on-axis in half-space

Interesting....been looking for tiny tweet to go in some Kef coaxial 5" drivers sans HF I acquired. I've ordered some used Land Rover tweeters off eBay. A lot of them say 'made in france' so maybe an Audax part. And also there is '25' in the part no . So assume it's a 1" some. It comes out of its housing so maybe will 29mm overall. Shall measure dimensions and parameters when I get them. The SB14s were my next choice but I wanted to do a cheap test first. I'm hoping the waveguide effect of the 5" cone will help it in level and reach low enough.

Indeed the Kef NT19 that came in some of these coaxials are about 29/30mm but generally fetch a premium.
