Tweaking a wm8731 ADC DAC

Hi, my first post here;


This is my very first attempt in electronic and diy audio after having successfully build a zynthian synthetizer.



I'm considering modifying that design

It's a raspberry hat providing DAC + ADC with the well supported (in linux kernel) wm8731 chip. Its design is really simple.



My plan is to feed the ADC with

• an instrument level signal (electric bass or guitar) on channel left
• a dynamic microphone level (shure sm58) on channel right

I imagine that preamps are needed ... and especially because I want to control each entry level 😀


So, I need advice for that, keeping in mind that I'm looking for a really simple design (I'm a noob).


Any help/suggested schematic would be really appreciate.
