Turntable with piano shape

Hello,

my diy experience is only about electronics... but in an intalian HiFi show, last weekend, I saw this interesting thing... I think inspired by musical instruments. The arm is a bow for violin ...

The motor (sorry, no pictures) was a old Pioneer (or somethings else) with quartz control...

Altmann micro machines site have links to other "Altmannesque" builders, and one used a bow for an arm..

BTW: Very Interesting how mutch things could be used for a DIY turntable: knitting-needle, motor-bikes parts, etc.

For now I am working on my phono preamp, then I can start building a turntable... mmm... need to think...
