Hi! I have a question that I couldn’t really find any info about online.
I have a chance to pick up a couple of old Yamaha PM4000 channel strips for free (I know, not the PM1000 but hey-ho).
My question is - how easy would it be to use each one to create separate outboard preamp/EQ units? Are there project examples of doing this? Would it be worth the time to do something like this?
I’m new to electronics but I’m keen to learn and doing things like this really interests me, I’m just not sure if the quality of the end product - all going well - would be worth it in the end.
