Hello
I broke the glass on my Hickok 539C meter. I replaced it with a plexiglass but the static created by the plexiglass is sticking the meter needle. What can I do to correct this situation ? Thanks

Static might deflect a needle if its not grounded (which won't be the case), it won't make it stick. I suspect the movement's been bashed enough that the bearings are now too tight. There should be tiny screws to adjust end-play in the movement's jewel bearing caps. Also check the hairspring isn't deformed and rubbing itself.
It might simply be that the needle's bent up and rubbing the plexiglass directly.
This is basically mechanical watch engineering technology, so it takes a gentle touch to adjust and a hand lens to examine.
