Two quick questions and should note that this is my first build directly from a schematic.
I'm working to source components for the attached 2A3 amp schematic and having difficulty finding can-style caps. I can use a couple of sections of a multi-section cap for C5 and C6 (in yellow). Is there a technical reason that I can't take the same approach for the other 20uF caps (in blue)? Or for that matter use one cap for all four 20uf caps?
Additionally, I'm unfamiliar with a couple of symbols on the schematic, and some Google work yielded nothing. The symbols are a "star" and a "cross with four dots" - called out with the red arrows. Is this something unique to Japanese schematics? More importantly, what do they mean?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
