I am planing to build a tube headphone (pre)amplifier with bass and trble controls using circuit from local electronics magazine. Any one of you will be welcome to share experiences and suggestions. I have built a number of solid state and opamp amplifier but no experience on tube components.

Since tubes tend to be higher voltage, read the safety precautions sticky on the tube forum.

Hello oldjade, good luck with the project. It may be helpful if you can provide a schematic / circuit diagram so people here can comment.
