I just whipped up a test circuit using a 6N1P (what I have in the parts bin) and supplied about +/-40V and measured 18V across the 10K resistor.
I'll construct a low voltage version ccs with what transistor I have now, I can't get out to get parts, there is a storm here now

How little voltage does a CCS need to work?If i want 150v at the anode,what is the minimum volt I need to get i to work?🙄
How much voltage do you want to swing? Add 10V to that and add that to the plate voltage; that will give you a few volts of margin.
