I've built both an SSE and TSE many years ago, and tomorrow will be assembling a TSE-II. I'm probably missing something obvious, but if I want to wire it up without a volume control which pins should the signal + and - go to for each channel?
The original TSE board had large pads for connecting a volume pot and even mounting it on the board. Virtually nobody except me used them, so they were removed on the TSE-II. The new board has six small pads, three for each channel. The four pads closest to each other are all connected to each other and signal ground or -. Connect the shield or negative inputs to the most convenient pad. I included an extra pad on each connector for an easy place to hang scope probe and meter ground connections during testing. The outermost pads are the hot input or + connections. Connect the center of the shielded cable or the input + to these pads.
