Hello;
I purchased a really nice aluminum amp enclosure from a seller at the big online auction house.
In sorting through the bag of parts everything was there except the power switch.
Back in early March I emailed him for a replacement for the missing switch and he responded immediately stating it was in the mail to me.
I checked with him at the end of May and he said it been mailed but delayed .
In the event the replacement has disappeared in the Covid 19 issues I am trying to find a replacement here; but having difficulty on the switches exact description at Mouser or Digikey.
Can anyone let me know the exact type of pushbutton on-off power switch will fit this panel ?
Pictures of the panel front and rear are attached . The large hole is maybe for an LED ?
The switch "ears" would be attached to rear of the enclosure front panel using bolts in to the threaded chassis holes.
I added a picture of a similar type on-off switch I salvaged from my old Sony Cassette deck . ( it's actuator is too long but the screw ears match the holes on the panel )
thanks for any help

This design is very common to a lot of audio equipment and the securing holes are usually a standard distance apart.
Why don't you cut a bit off the actuator rod if its too long ,in truth I am not keen on this design as I have had to replace very many broken ones due to rough usage ,usually the internal contacts don't make and are a bit flimsy anyway.
Its a very cheap part and it shows but you don't need a perfect replacement even if multi switching isn't used buy one and just use the mains connections on it.

Look for seventies parts on Ebay. Pionner Sansuy etc.
For an amp Switch I would use it to switch a relay which would handle the amp's PSU.
Check the switch Amperage.

An alternative

Yes, the hole on top is for LED.The large hole is maybe for an LED ?
And that's the type of alternative I would support .
It will last much longer than the badly designed and cheaply made original.

Thanks for your responses , I appreciate any help with this issue.
The hole in the enclosure front panel for the power switch is 16mm diameter so I would have to track down some particular sized washers so a pushbutton switch like the one pictured could be retained against the panel .
The Stock switch lock washer won't work by itself.
I have this problem with the SPST toggle switches in my parts drawer also or I would simply use one of these.
I know the Sony pushbutton switch I pictured in my original post has the industry standard mounting ears that would fit the panel ; but I just don't know the correct terminology for this type of switch to narrow down the filter searches of the thousands of options at Mouser or Digikey.

You can make a mounting adapter plate, I've done this a number of times.
The switch mounts on the plate, and the plate mounts on the panel.
Or a custom plate that acts as a washer will work in some cases also.

I'm not sure why you need to use the same actuator type. 16mm is a standard size for many good switches.
Thanks for the link to the pushbutton switches for a 16mm mounting hole .
That switch looks like it will work well and I see Mouser has one by Schurter for $5.
I am adding it to my order cart with them.
Although the rear panel mount pushbutton switch Sony used in all the tape decks and CD and DVD players I own seems cheap; I have to say I never had a failure with one over years of heavy use .
The enclosure I purchased has a well made volume knob and a button for the power switch that matches the panel so was trying to stay with the rear panel mounted switch, just couldn't determine the description in Mouser filters to find it .

Tape/cd/dvd players usually required very low power, please make sure the switch power rating is OK with your amp build, or you need to add a mains voltage power relay to make it work.
