A shot in the dark, but I'm interested if anyone has the actual language of the minimum performance standards for DO-214A, or CS-ETSO (sub A), or EUROCAE "ED 18".
These all stem from the RTCA (DO-214A) for FAA TSO-c139 (FORMERLY c57). It's the specs required to earn a TSO approval for a headset.
I'm not looking to sell a headset but rather just want to know what goes into a typical, non-ANR, headset.

Good luck, wish I could be of further assistance, but what I know about headphones could sit easily on the head of a pin.

I think these copyrighted standards cost significant money.

RTCA (DO-214A) is a document which defines audio systems characteristics and minimum operational performance standards for aircraft headset microphones, handset microphones, headsets, speakers and amps. If you want to get advancements in audio, you have to buy this document for the price of 142.50€. It comes with 'TSO standards for a headset' that might help you best.
