Hey everyone.
I'm trying to restock my heat shrink tubing and I'm wondering where people get their heat shrink from in Europe. I'm looking at farnell and mouser, but any options outside of white, black and red seem to be much, much more expensive than their more common counter part. Am I looking in the wrong place or should I expect to pay anywhere from 3x to 10x the amount on blue/yellow coloured heat shrink?
Thanks in advance for any input 🙂

I'd rather avoid aliexpress and amazon where there's no way to guarantee what you buy is going to be of the same quality that the product page claims.
I just go to my local electronics shop. No price difference between black-red-blue-white-yellow-transparent-green for the 1.2m lengths. As long as you compare same type (shrink ratio). Probably more expensive than some webshops but less than 2 euro for the diameters I normally use (up to 8mm).
That's fair lolyes but risk is moderate as bet could be less the $2...
I wish there were such options in Ireland 🤣 prices are generally painful in stores here, if they even exist 😛I just go to my local electronics shop.
Good to have a local store(s), AFAIK we have no more serious shop in France. The last one I know is in Paris, close to 'Gare du Nord', but I now only use LCSC and Mouser, Digikey, and Farnell when I need parts not available at LCSC. AliExpress is also useful, but you have to assess the risk across your requirements !I just go to my local electronics shop. I get it from Display Elektronica in Haarlem, the Netherlands, my home town.

Well, electronics stores aren't as plenty as they were 10 years ago. And if you need anything more involved then some cable, connectors or heat shrink (*) you are probably out of luck because they have to order it and you have to come back "sometime later". But you do not need to go to the net for each and every thing either. Just look and buy where you feel you have the best contribution.
So I do buy some things there because I want to support them. But I do buy other stuff on the net (be it Ali or Ebay or another real store in another country) because I know going there will be saving time and/or money because they are more specialised. It is a game of looking around and placing bets. Keeping the locals alive so you can have quick personal service one side and convenience of having it cheap, delivered at your door but with a bit of risk at the other side.
(*) I go there for more than that.
