Hi,
I ever build this amp but lost after shifting house. I also forgotten many things about electronics in time. I had arranged parts for Aleph 30 including Transformer 18-0-18, signal generator and cheap Dso138 Oscilloscope.
I have completed one channel test board. it showing output 23v DC (somethings wrong), mesured Gnd + Output with multimeter DC Voltage no short in input.
I didn't use pot on R8 as it indicated 10m ohm should be fine if two input are not well matched. I have used matched mosfets. still checking for any wrong doing. Thanks

DC out 23v
There must be errors on parts.
Broken parts or maybe polarity reverse.
Double check, especially for the ztx and caps.

Thanks. I found the problem. Mosfet IRF9610 damaged by soldering iron as it is not Grounded. How can i avoid such incident? any tips for soldering?
You will find many good video's on youtube on soldering. The main thing to remember is that whatever you are soldering has to be hot enough to melt the solder. You do not melt solder onto the parts. The same can be said about welding or brazing. Clean your tip and apply a touch of solder to the tip every time is also good advice to get a good heat transfer.Thanks. I found the problem. When soldering a sensitive parts,
I will always disconnect the solder ac plug.
Then quickly soldering the parts while it is still hot.

having problem. at first, I was using BC550 instead of MPSA18 and it was fine. i was thinking that should use MPSA18 as original diagram so purchased from online MPSA18 and changed the BC550. now it is showing output as a -volt. Thanks.

The MPSA18 has a different pin-out than the BC550. (You need to
turn it around compared to the BC550.) Is it possible you did not
account for that?
Cheers,
Dennis
Thanks. I already checked Mpsa18, it is properly placed. across R123 should be 0.13v as design but mine is 0.03v. something is wrong.
Is this the schematics you are referring to?

What voltages are you getting across say R118, R126 and R9? Any other voltages
seem weird?
