Greetings from Pennsylvania,
I am an orthopaedic surgeon who recently found my way to this site in an attempt to get some help on fixing a set of Klipsh promedia computer speakers.
I have very little background knowledge of electronics, but like to tinker and can follow directions well. Over the years, I have fixed several electronic devices....but only because I found someone on the internet who had the same issue and was able to give me specific instructions on what to do.
So, when my promedia's subwoofer broke, I thought I'd give it a shot to see if I could get any leads on what to do.
I hate throwing stuff into a land fill, and often it just doesn't pay to have this cheap stuff repaired professionally.
Even though my time is worth a lot, I find it immensely satisfying to fix stuff myself.
Thanks for this site. Hopefully someone will give me some good advice.
John
