Anyone see my thread "Complete wavelength TL?" I proposed a miniturised TL that had a pathway as long as the lowest frequency you wanted to produce - i.e; ~40' in my case. The idea got kinda ripped to shreds, but I came out with a different perspective on it - could you use this to facilitate excursion better than a sealed box with a smaller volume?
Thoe sfan things work but for Infrabass respnoce for cheap...tactial transucers are the best so far.
I want to see a wall of 18's with high efficency and decent excursion hornloaded in a 5Hz bass horn 😱
I beleive it would hit the brown note...because you would **** your pants when you see it...not mentioning the ******* of the pants when you cant breather properly when it lets out a nice infrasonic burp.
For thoes of you luckey enough to own a basement it isnt too far fetched of an idea besides the size of the horn's mouth needed.

Actually, if you have ever seen any of the MythBusters shows, you would know that the "brown note" is just a bunch of B.S. They did live tests all the way down to 5Hz and reaching 120dB at 9Hz with virually no effects at all, and especially no skid-marks. 🙄

On top of the fact, the testing Mythbusters did wasnt as extensive as it should have been. 9Hz isnt an octave below the loswest E-Flat. Also 120-dB isnt all that loud, even though at thoes frequincies it is displaceing a heck of a lot of air. Im sure if sound can cause cardiact arrest from making the heart muscle relax and then fribilate then sound can make hte sphynter relax...you just have to get it loud enough.
But that isnt the point...
Sub woofer for HT brings Infrabass brings ultra low extended respocnes brings massive bass horns brings brown note bigns messing your pants.

They have this program, called Mythbusters... guess the name says it all...
To test this myth, they used special speakers capable of going down to 5Hz, they experimented with various frequencies (wearing adult diapers in the name of science), but could not get the brown note effect, I suspect its more than frequency but also the way it is modulated...
Some of the people around the test area did report feeling uneasy though, and the guy who installed the speakers, said ,he just had to get out of there, it was makeing him feel very ill and unconfortable...
If I think of a true small sub, I think of the little sub that came with my Logitech X530 PC speakers... wow does it go low for its size... my wife has bigger shoeboxes...
