troubleshooting my new dac

How would that be done?

All the pins for the output format of the cs8416 and in/ out formats of the DF are correct, and from what I understand of the datasheets what is being fed into the DAC is in the correct format and the DF is doing its job of 8X OS and splitting the L and R

It may help if you list the I/O formats you choose for your design. Just by writing things down, or telling it to somweone else, I'v solved problems myself....

Out of the cs8416 is 24bit I2S as setup to be received by the df7104, then out of the df170f you don’t have many options and can only pick the bit rate which is set to 24bit (right justified MSB first)

I have checked over it a 1001 times and everything is how it should be as far as I know

My practice shows that more than 100mV is tolerated

mute is active low, and has an internal pullup resistor, and on the board is currently connected to nothing with a pin header there for later
