Hello diyAudio forum-goers. It never ceases to amaze me the kind of response you can get from helpful folks on Internet forums.
Anyway, I've just recieved a Proxima 920 LCD projection panel and I'm having trouble with the images it outputs. I can't seem to get it to upscale to its full resolution without a horribly choppy image. The way my overhead (Apollo 3000 concept) projector works, it's arm is blocking the VGA input to the panel, so I'm having to use either the composite video or S-video ports to get video. I'm running my laptop output through a video converter to accomplish this (I've tried both S-video and composite). The image always displays on only about a quarter of the screen, centered on the top. I have also tried this by hooking a normal GameCube up through the inputs. Same result. I can press the "Preview" button and it'll toggle between full screen and that small portion of the screen. As I've said though, when it's at full screen the images are choppy and also shake. Is there anyone out there who's had a similar experience? I've seen on a previous post that someone has successfully used this model with a PS2, is there anything special you have to do?
This is the second Proxima panel I have owned. My other one is an 846, and it always upscales images and displays them with no problems. The only issue is that it's scratched and you can see individual pixels (hence my 920 purchase). My initial thought, then, is that this is not normal behavior for a Proxima 920 panel. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
