I am in the process of rejuvenating my PCDP collection. A few days ago I hit a wall: the "eye pattern" I am getting off all of my portable CD players is consistently garbled and off-cync. Need your professional opinion:

That looks like a scope issue to me although I would have thought a 100Mhz digital would have 'cut it'.

Thats what I am afraid of, although there is a chance I missed some hidden option on this HP. Unfortunately, my analogue Tektronix was left behind when we moved to LA from Chicago. Guess I will try to return HP and get something I am familiar with, maybe this new gadget is not for the old dog like me :-(
