Triode/Pentode Loadline Calculator

Truly amazing work! Very helpful tool for all of us!

But the GM70 are not very good in my opinion, I tried in practice several points with 6 GM70s in my amp and are not consistent with the model currently used. However they are very consistent with the one provided second.

Well, may by it is a question of matching to some or other characteristics available. I've checked compliance with the characteristics on which I based simulations and it seemed to be quite good. Maybe I should consider more than one model for the specified tube.

Just stimulated ECC83, 6H2p (high mu tubes). It shows high distortion level on running in normal operation.

There are lot of good penthode tubes when they run in triode mode, eg. 4P1L, 6688, 7788, D3a, C3g... I hope them in your list soon.

Tks n regards,

please include EF86, EF80, C3m in triode modes....

I'll add these tubes soon - and no only in triode mode🙂.

I just completed the simulator with the ability to calculations for pentodes.
It is trial version. I used Korens pentode model.
On the list of available tubes you can find one pentode - 6550 for testing. Not all calculation are completed (SE amp, output transformer etc.), but basic data related to the loadline is available.

I love this tool and use it quite a lot!

Can I make a request? The Russian 6e5P and 6e6P tetrodes are popular these days used in triode mode. It would be great if they could be added to the list in the tool.

Here are some links to SPICE models people have made for 6e5P:

Here is triode SPICE model for 6e5P:

I hope one of those works out. Thanks for this, it's great!

I did notice, however, that pressing the "Apply" button with a pentode selected (not in triode mode) causes the values to reset instead of being applied.

There are some restrictions of parameters values. For example the screen voltage must be lower than 50% of anode maximum voltage (300V for Uamax=600V etc). These limits are temporary. Try for example to change screen voltage from 300V to 250V or lower (or increase Uamax and increase the screen voltage). You'll see changes of characteristics. I'll delete these limits as soon as possible. At present, for screen voltages greater then 300V anode currents are so big that figures are cut by the canvas object. I am thinking how to automatically change the Iamax for higher screen voltages.

thank you, how about 6kn8?
