It is clearly not Trio if that is what you are asking. It looks like a current Chinese amp.
thats what am suspecting.
the seller of this amp stated that its an earlier model of TRI CORP and he does not have any other info on them.
It may be an earlier model of TRI Corp but I would guess TRIO (Kenwood) had nothing to do with it.

Yeah, just doesn't have the same quality looks to it like the new one, if infact this is an earlier model.
OTOH the build quality looks quite decent for a budget unit. I have seen much, much, much worse. I do however see two very scorched resistors connected to the hum pots that would be replaced. I think you may be able to make out the values still. I would replace with at least 2W rated resistor.
Agree, but this amp was on a use market that I was looking at. When I saw that it was advertise as a Tri corp Wich I have not seen this particular model before so I was intrig to see if it actually made by Tri corp.
After contacting the seller for more info, the only thing he can provide was picture.
My conclusion after seeing the gut I don't think it's from Tri corp

I'm not aware of any company in Japan or elsewhere that uses the name "TRI" there is a Triode Corp of Japan which is an entirely different company.
This is just one of many products made in China that has an English name on it that might or might not have significance to the namer. The Chinese at times have managed to come up with some fairly hilarious names for products that often were inspired by others.
This amplifier strikes me as nothing more than a reasonably well made boutique product from a small Chinese manufacturer. It does not appear to me to be a clone or misrepresentation in any sense. And it looks competently put together. Things are a bit close together than I would like and obviously transformer quality is a mystery - some Chinese transformers it should be noted are VERY good, others not.
If just not your cup of tea that is fine, but I see no reason to drag it through the mud either.. 😀
I design and build all of my own personal gear and back about decade + a few years I had an OEM in HK that built my commercial budget line gear, and I will say that this OEM is doing a somewhat better job than mine did. Most of those products continue to soldier on reliably long after the end of my business.

I don't mean to drag anything through mud, just wanted to see if this was a "Trio corp" made amp like the seller was advertising.
I am familiar with Trio corp of Japan as you can see the Tri on the front facia are the same except the stripe.

This is a from a few years ago and is an early model right before the current TRV-A300SE. Similar three input integrated with brand new JJ 300b tubes.
Sounds great, can't think of anything this price that will give you so much beautiful SET sound and flexibility. Looks great, too. Chrome is very nice and shiny. No real marks that I can see, just slight signs of use.

I've bought a number of phono cartridges and other odds and ends on Audiogon and have had no reason to question any sellers I bought from, and actually have a lot of friends with similar experience. It is in my experience one of the safest places to score used hifi on the net, pay with paypal and you have the extra assurance. (Note that one recent phono cartridge cost the asking price of that amp, and that was 50% off of retail NIB so I am a risk taker.. lol)
I would say the amp looks like a typical Chinese OEM on the inside, but that does not mean it was not built for Triode Corp..
At the price and given the sellers excellent feedback I would have probably grabbed it were I in the market for such an item.

What I am saying here is that I was expecting a company like triode corp to have better Quality than this. As for price, I say it not bad if you were in the market for non triode corp or if you want a Chinese amp.
I know what it take to build an amp, labor cost for parts ect. But I do believe that this Chinese / whatever amp worth " my own $ " some won't think much about 7-9 hundred but I do. So to end this thread, I say that the amp may or may not from Triode corp and the seller is selling an item like be should.
