Trimmer pots for onboard guitar preamp tone controls?

Are trimmer pots suitable for tone and volume controls?

I'll be using them in an onboard guitar preamp.
I want to use the smallest possible pots, because this is going to be at least two channels, and I want to keep the size down as much as possible.

Trimmers? The way guitarists like to tweak? They will wear out in no time 😀

Just bring 'em to the front panel.
