I had a Tricord Clock 4 with a never connected power supply fitted to my Bluenote Koala CD player about 4 weeks ago. Can't say I like what I hear, it seems bright and forward sounding with a thinning of the sound in general. Has any body else experienced this, as I have only heard real good thing about this mod. I am sending it back to Graham next week to have a listen to see what he thinks. The Koala is a very natural analogue sounding CD player, just seems extremely digital now and can only listen to it for a while with out fatigue.
It seems that your implementation is of a very noisy kind - it probably induces more jitter than the original version had in first place.
You'll need very low noise power supply to start with.
Once this is okay, you'll have to experiment and find which ground point is most suitable to use as a ground reference point for Trichord Clock.
Another thing: very low jitter clock can give you slightly clinical sound!
Good luck.
