how does one go about calculating the length of a triangle port. Know that a triangle port is basically a square or rectangle port cut in half but should the port length remain the same ,doubled or cut in half of the original length of the square port?
square port
High 5.50
Width 5.50
length 5.19

I would calculate length for a circular port (say 2” or 3” diameter) using an online calculator for your driver and box and then work out a triangle with the same area then use the same length.
E.g. circular port 3” diameter = area of 7.06 sq.in (pi()d/4)
Equilateral triangle of same area has 4.04” sides.
Assuming your square port 5.5 x 5.5 = 30.25sqxx
Using Equilateral Triangle - Geometry Calculator
Gives an equilateral triangular port with same length and 8.36 sides.

That is more or less what we did for our FR88ex ML-TL/BR hybrid.

What driver, is this a subwoofer or the woofer in a multi way, that is a pretty big box (100l) and quite a high tuning frequency?
