I'm looking for a way to connect 3-way speakers to their respective amps. Each driver has its own amp so that totals 6 wires that I have to run from the amplifier box to each speraker.
I'm tempted to use DIN connectors since they're pretty cheap and easy to get. The maximum power per driver is 40W, so could those handle it?
The other alternative I can think of is Molex connectors, but for a 4-pin connector I would have to use a common ground wire.

I use these exclusively...well made and reliable. They make fool-proof connections inevitable.

Those spaekON connectors are the right thing. I discovered them only recently, and I also use them in an active system. The Vivid Audio Giya G1 Spirit loudspeaker has external crossovers, and they use an 8-way speakON connection scheme.
No problem.
I've used them for several years and have never had one fail, misbehave or disappoint in any way.
