Trapezoidal ESL Drivers

I was wondering if anyone could confirm my theory that a Trapezoidal ESL Driver would be able to handle higher frequencies better then a rectangular driver and still be able to produce low ranges to about 350 Hz well while remaining under 8 inches in width.

No, horizontal dispersion of high frequencies will change along its length. The narrow upper parts will disperse more than the bottom. I don't think that you want this kind of dispersion.
Bass can be improved and that's the reason to build such structure.

Yes, I can see how this might become an issue. My main reason for this is that I am trying to stay as small width wise as possible. I plan to handle the bass with a separate dynamic driver, so bass really isn’t an issue.
