Transmission line: cheap, small as possible ~50-350Hz ?

I have a pair of wondrful Genelec 5" monitors I would like to use, but need a bottom end. Although I can just add a sub, I'm more intrigued on how it will sound if I will prevent the Genelecs from moving anything below ~250-350 Hz, and assign them just to the vocal range. I can do a reflex box, but I'm more intrigued by a transmission line.
I think that the sound of bigger drivers in the low mid is nice, so maybe 7-10" driver.
The loudspeakers will live in a small room, so the cabinet needs to be tall and narrow, front port, to accommodate a cheap driver. I don't really care about distortion in the unused upper frequencies so I guess it makes it easier.

Any suggestions on designs and drivers?

Does a bigger driver makes a smaller transmission line?

Thanks
Adam

No, generally a bigger one, although naturally, this depends on the driver.

When you say you are intrigued by a TL, in what sense, viz., what are you hoping to achieve? The term has become so generic that, quite literally, what one person describes as a transmission line might be the exact opposite of what another person would describe as a transmission line (or some point in between). So before any sensible recommendations can be made, we need to know what you mean by it.
