Hey Guys,
Iv'e got an amplifier PCB here, from a long forgotten amp/reciever. It's missing it's NPN drivers, and output transistors, but still works,IIRC. (pulled the NPN's out for use in another project.)
Somewhere around 100W per ch. I think.
I'm wondering if I can replace all the drivers and outputs with different types, which I have on hand, inorder to get it working again.
Original transistors are:
PNP's
2SA1301 (output)
2SA1011 (driver)
The mating,but missing NPN's,are,I assume:
2SC3280 (output)
2SC2344 (driver)
Can I replace them with these? :
PNP's
2SA1101 (output)
2SA1111 (driver)
NPN's
2SC2581 (output)
2SC2591 (driver)
Would that work? 😕

I don't recall the specs for those types, however if the specs are the same or higher (Vce, Ic etc.) for the new replacement trannies there should be no problem 😉
Remember to check the pin-configuration before installing

Here are the specs:
2SA1301: HiFi-NF-E, 160V, 12A, 120W, 30MHz
2SA1011: NF/S-L, 180V, 1,5A, 25W, 100MHz
2SC3280: HiFi-NF-E, 160/160V, 12A, 120W, 30MHz
2SC2344: NF/S-L, 180/160V, 1,5A, 25W, 100MHz
2SA1101: ?
2SA1111: NF/S-L, 150V, 1A, 20W, 200MHz;
2SC2581: NF/S-L, 200/140V, 10A, 100W, -/2,8µS
2SC2591: NF/S-L, 150/150V, 1A, 20W, 200MHz
Are you sure about the 2SA1101? Can’t find anything about it.

Thanks guys!
*doublechecks*
2SA1106 Sorry,too many transistor #'s to keep straight. 🙂
Humm,the spec's look fairly close atleast.. 😎

It worked nicely!
The amp actually sounds pretty good too! (after a little tweaking)
I'm listening to it right now 😀
There's some rambling about it here:
