Check on eBay.ca . Hammond and Plitron are both Ontario-based, and I know Hammond makes standard non-toroids. Can't speak for Plitron.
I picked up the two Plitron and two Hammond sets of toroids for my current project that way, and I paid about 40% retail.
Also suggest checking at some of the electronic surplus stores. Often you'll see items from discontinued (but quality) product lines.
