I need transformers for a new dual mono LM3875 project. The speakers are based on BD15. They are 16ohms and high sensitive, i.e. an easy load. What would be the "normal" and the "overkill" size for the transformers?
TIA

Hi,
the most you can get from the chipamps will be about 40W per channel.
The minimum size of transformer to power a stereo pair would be about 80VA.
I recommend at least 160VA and possibly as high as 300VA.

Are you saying 160 or 300 per channel? I have a pair of 300VA lying around, but I would like something with a lower profile.
