so for example the transformers voltage is ac20v-0-ac20v and the amplifier is 2x200watt. my question is what if i put on it a transformer that is ac20v-0-ac20v but the wattage is 500 or less for example 380watt , and even less or even more like 1000watt or 300watt. what hapens to the amplifier will i burn it if the wattage is more than it is itself or it can go to some border, like if the amp is 2x200watt and the transformer ac20v-0-ac20v - 500,600,700 or 1000watt.
20 volts is 20 volts no matter what the power of the transformer.
So long as the power of the transformer at least matches the amplifiers requirements there shouldnt be a problem.

And 20v will not put out 2 x 200w ...... you might get 70w into 4 ohms out of a 20v 0v 20v transformer ....... unless several chips are bridged and paralelled
what do you think about this amp i'll be statisfied if it output at least 150watt 2PC TDA8920 BTL 2.0 Audio Amplifier AMP Kit 200W+200W - eBay (item 260708920904 end time Mar-16-11 01:10:07 PDT)
Thats a class D amp so they are much more efficient that yer standard amp , they use 2 class D amps bridged to get that power but it still won"t put out 200w , each chip can put out 80w at 2 x 30v DC , so bridged you will get a max of 160w ......

i know that it will put out bridged 2x200 as it says or 160 real , so what do u think what transformer do i need volt and wattage?
