Hello smart folks!
I'm building a clone of the Audionote L3 Phono stage with tube rectifier and can't seem to find the needed wattage rating for the transformer or the the specs on the choke. Henrys, mA, resistance.
ANK Audiokits - L3 Phono Stage Mk2 Tube Regulated and Tube Output
Thanks!

If you are cloning it with the original 6X5 rectfier and ELC82 pass tube which runs at 250 volts DC then a 200 watt transformer will do .
70ma is specified for the 6X5 the ECL82 taking up nearly 30ma of that and a 8 Henry choke .
325-0-325 transformer is specified at a max capacitance of 32mfd and minimum series resistance of 150 ohm.
Of course if you make changes to the rectifier/pass tube then that all changes but you did say --CLONE --right ?

I sent an inquiry to Hammond Manufacturing and they got back to me this morning!
Mark Mercer there suggested the 272BX for the 300-0-300 & 6.3V and then use the 166M8 for the 9V
High Voltage (Plate) & Filament - 32 VA to 454 VA (200 Series) - Hammond Mfg.

For the choke, would either of these be suitable:
Hammond:
157M - 8H 100MA 259 OHM, $25
193D - 8H 150MA 75 OHM, $47

Cool, happy to save a few dollars. Wasn't sure if the reduced Ohm value of the 193D might be an advantage. Thanks!
