Transformer for 1626 Darling Amp Question

I am going to build a stock Darling amplifier, is the Edcor XPWR146, 200 volt secondary @250ma or the Hammond 269AAX, 200 volts @ 250ma the correct transformers to use?

I don't know the PSU requirements for the Darling amp but I think Hammond has a much better reputation when it comes to mains transformers.

The B+ current required is nowhere near 250 mA (70 mA DC for a stereo amp), and neither transformer has a 12V winding for the 1626 output tube. A voltage doubler could be used; at least 3A at 6.3V would be needed.

B+ for the Darling is around 265V.

Any transformer supplying 150mA or more is sufficient in the current department.
The Darling schematic uses a voltage doubler to arrive at abovementioned b+.

There are more ways than one to skin a cat. But if you want to build it exactly as Bob did it...you should indeed get a 200VAC winding. If it does not have a 12,6vac winding ( which most don't have) you could get a seperate transformer for that.
