The ratio of companies making traditional amplifiers to those making OTL is probably 1000:1.
You can probably count all the current and past manufacturers on one hand.

That may be true, although I very much doubt there are 1000 tube amp manufacturers today, but that is not what is claimed in post #15.
Then why are there so few companies who have ever made OTL amps? On paper it looks great, no costly bandwidth limiting output transformer. In practice things are more complicated.
OTL!
Good morning guys,
Indeed, I agree that the statement is false and biased possibly. Understandably, someone who lacks knowledge and experience may not succeed. For some tube aging (f.ex. 6s33s) is a challenge - one of the reasons. So you need not to be lazy here. So to speak, fear the wolf - do not go into the forest, if you are afraid - do not, if you do - not fear. Working with yourself is the hardest part. Regarding acquired T16 one power transformer is burnt out, that was a reason.
Have a nice weekend!
... I mean, there are hundreds of individuals in the past to attempt a go at making output transformerless tube amps. Very few were successful and is the only reason the vast majority of tube amps utilize an output transformer.
