I am working on an amplifier that has the transformer CT connected in an unusual way. this amp has a separate PCB for the PSU caps that connect to the amp PCB.
Normally i would expect the CT to be connected to the center point of the power supply caps. Instead this amp has the CT connected to the amp board ground point and then has a wire that connects from that point to the Cap board. and the speaker ground is taken from the other end of the ground trace on the amp board as well. this doesn't seem like the best method.
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't it be an improvement if i connected the transformer CT and the speaker ground directly to the center point of the cap board and then ran a wire from that point to the amp board main ground point??
